Senior Consultant, Lead Programmer and Developer
A Prominent poet and programmer, Lewis LaCook's
investigation of language has led him from literature to circuitry. His
poems and interactive artworks have appeared in numerous journals, both
online and off: CTheory Multimedia, Rhizome's artBase, Cauldron and Net, Artifacts at Web Del Sol, 5-trope, _sidereality, Big Bridge, Wired Art for Wired Hearts, Poethia, Aught, Lost And Found Times and ArtCrimes, among many others. In 2000 Anabasis published his long poem Cling as a chapbook; in 2004 he was the recipient of a turbulence.org comission for his work, Tone Row Poetry.
LaCook's exploration of algorithmic and chance operations drew him
to programming, and his deep knowledge of internet technologies,
including Macromedia Flash, PHP, MySQL, Java and other related
languages, informs the complete creative Enterprise packages offered by
Corporate Performance Artists. He has developed integrated image
management systems for Pier Head Associates, content management system
enhancements for Manhattan Beer Distributors, and provisioned most of
the clients of Corporate Performance Artists with comprehensive back
end management tools for their websites.
